General
Supports areas related to a need that is otherwise unmet by one of the other focus areas, e.g. for addressing emergency needs in the case of a shock (natural disaster, pandemic, etc.) or other situation where funding will provide a ‘hand up’ for an individual.
Education
Supports individuals pursuing post-secondary education and also helps individuals reduce the high-level interest burden for those with significant student loan debt.
Empowerment
Supports economic opportunities for those who face bias and discrimination in our society. Funds can be used towards entrepreneurship and other activities that help to increase an individual’s net worth.
Justice
Supports organizations that do advocacy, provide legal fees for individuals facing issues that keep them unfairly trapped in the judicial system, and otherwise seeking to address systemic issues. These issues unjustly burden those unaware of their rights or the resources available to assist them. Story: Kalief Browder
